The Hexagon Theatre is one of a handful of thrust stage venues in the country, the only of its kind in the region. The Hexagon Theatre provides a professional working theatre experience for students, young people and the surrounding community by providing a season of productions from companies visiting from local colleges to professional touring companies. Visits in the past have been welcomed from Rodney Bewes and Maryn Joseph and many more.
Our venue enjoy's being populated as a cultural satellite for the region, creating partnerships with many influential organisations within the area and acting as a sister venue to Middlesbrough Theatre to host a whole variety of productions from Pinter to Shakespeare.
The aim of our unique and intimate space is the education and inclusion of young people and the community within performing arts, we strive to do this through series' of intensive workshops provided by some of the best talent in the country and by providing theatre to be accessed by all.
The theatre is under threat of demolishen. Join our campaign to keep it open.
